After a fourteen-year career in computer technology, Sharon taught in the St. Paul Public Schools for six years, then was a founding teacher and board member at a Minneapolis charter K-8 school, where she taught at the middle level for five years. In School Services, she provides customized support for schools training and implementing the Responsive Classroom and Developmental Designs approach. She facilitates workshops and provides implementation support for both approaches.
