One Day Professional Development

The Developmental Designs advisory structures of Circle of Power and Respect (CPR) and The Activity Plus (A+), when consistently implemented, gives students an ongoing opportunity to shape strong, trusting relationships with their peers and teachers. They are nurtured deliberately, piece by piece, out of every encounter between one person and another.

Reexamine and refresh your advisory, providing a place where interactions are purposefully designed through well-planned advisories to build and support an engaged resilient community.

TOP 5 STRATEGIES YOU’LL TAKE BACK TO YOUR CLASSROOM

Get ready for an interactive day of learning!

Just like in the classroom, you will gather in a circle for an advisory meeting. You will  talk, share, and problem-solve with other middle-level educators. Tap into real situations from your own experiences. Bring challenges you are facing with individual students or your whole class. The facilitator will lead you through exercises to help you enrich your advisory.
