School Development Assessment Program
Purpose
Building schools' capacity for self-evaluation is a primary goal of Origins' school services. Schools can build their capacity to evaluate their climate for learning by using the School Development Assessment Program.
Monitor implementation of Responsive Classroom strategies to determine what effect they are having on student academic and social performance. Ongoing evaluation will guide identification of patterns in school climate, school and student outcomes, and proficiency of teachers' implementation.

Process
Included in the program are:
- Structure for taking a "snapshot" of school data
- Climate survey
- Implementation survey
- Executive summary that provides an analysis of data
- Recommendations for school growth strategies based on assessment
The School Development Assessment Program provides schools with tools to maintain a sound process for reflection and evaluation of social and academic health.
Consulting Teachers
Consulting teachers who work as on-site school coaches are skilled in helping educators reach their goals. They assist schools in using the data they collect from the School Development Assessment Program to monitor progress in implementing the strategies of the Developmental Designs approach in order to achieve the highest results, both socially and academically.
