"The most successful pathway to school change is strong and trusting relationships among staff and administration. Trying something new to create a more equitable classroom or school is a risk that requires a trusting and supportive organization."

Scott taught 5th through 8th grades for 14 years. He co-organized, directed, and taught in one of Wisconsin's first multiage middle-level charter schools, where he developed a curriculum of integrated arts and technology. He has facilitated Developmental Designs workshops and consulted in middle schools for ten years. His current work includes writing a book on effective group work and piloting a program to coach teachers through on-line video. He lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin with his wife and two sons.
